FUEL-EFFICIENT FUN

Toyota has given the Corolla 2014 a more aggressive design and standard LED headlights. There is a new continuously variable transmission (CVT) with seven preset ratios that mimic gears. A new Eco trim level is also on offer as the most fuel-efficient version in the range. The 2014 Corolla has a five-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA (out of a possible five stars) and is considered a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS,

The Corolla remains an economical and practical compact car, making it ideal for commuting.

A SPORT UTILITY FOR THE FAMILY

This 2014 Ford F-150 Platinum is a versatile full-size pickup that can be configured in a number of ways. Its twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine rounds out the F-150’s engine offerings, producing 365 hp and 420 lb-ft and comes paired to a six-speed automatic transmission with a shifter-mounted switch for manual gear changes. Rear-drive is standard on this trim levels with four-wheel drive option. The EcoBoost engine deserves particular praise for its V-6-like performance and reasonable fuel economy for a full-size pickup.

MAKE AN EXECUTIVE STATEMENT

The C-Class is Mercedes Benz’s entry-level line. This generation, which was all new for 2008, changes little for 2011. It takes its exterior styling cues from the S-Class and is available only as a sedan. Despite the limited number of body styles, the C-Class is a true contender in its class and offers plenty of choices within the line. For 2011, the C-Class receives mbrace, the next generation of the automaker’s telematics system with emergency assistance, current weather and traffic information, and a Concierge function.
